Finding a new snack to bring to your next outing or party can be exhausting. We all too often fall back upon the oldies but goodies when it comes to cooking. Don’t get me wrong, having go-to staples are essential to keeping the chaos of daily life to a minimum. So here’s a new quick and simple yummy dip to add to the party rotation. Hot cheddar bacon dip!
And this isn’t like other cheddar dip recipes. Nope, we’re talking cheddar dip with cream cheese, bacon, and sour cream! Yep, cheddar dip is getting an upgrade! So enough with the chit chat, here’s the recipe:
Hot Cheddar Bacon Dip
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 2 c. sour cream
- 1 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled or chopped
- Salt, to taste
- 1/2 c. chopped green onions

Combine all ingredients

Spoon into 1-quart baking dish

Bake for 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees, or until bubbling

Serve with sliced baguette, crackers, chips, or vegetables
Notes:
I mix everything in the baking dish, saving me a dish to wash.
I use prepackaged bacon pieces.
You could use pre-cooked bacon and chop up (I REALLY don’t like cooking bacon!)
Adding a couple of chopped nachos jalapenos will add some heat for those who like food a little spicier.
As always, there is a printable version below to keep it simple!
