I am a creature of handwritten word. I have tried to go digital (and in many ways have), but I cannot shake the reality that writing things down is the best way for me to make sure they get done. Want the trick to making this feel fun and inspiring and not archaic? Pretty printables.
As busy moms, we must recognize our limits and sometimes that is knowing that if you don’t write it down in a matter of minutes, it might be gone. Poof out of our brain like it never happened. Acknowledging this reality and being able to implement approaches to remove that stressor can be a game changer! This lesson has been significant for me. Writing things down and knowing they will still be there, later on, allows me to capture a thought, document it, and move on. It is a very freeing feeling to know that I am no longer expected to keep everything for everyone inside my head. It clears up brain space and who doesn’t need more of that!?!
I once wrote about a project to make a picture frame message board. This is such an awesome addition to any busy space in your home. No worries if you missed it click the link above and you will be in the know. (HINT: it was so simple, you might not even need to go to the store to make one of your very own!)
Right now I want to talk more in depth about what you can put inside that frame. I use a variety of different prints in my frame depending on my mood and the need I am trying to address.
Here are a few ideas:
- Calendar
- Weekly Planner/Checklist
- Meal Planner/Menu
- Daily Schedule/Time Blocks
- Inspiring Prompt
- Bible Verse
- Inspirational Quote
- Pretty background for written messages
The list is truly endless, and that is the coolest part! You can keep finding new ways to use the frame. We are all about simple solutions here, and this has got to be one of the best! When you are searching for a solution to a problem, the answer might in some part involve utilizing the picture frame message board to help facilitate order.
It reminds, it inspires, it directs. It kind of does whatever you need it to do. I am so passionate about it because it was completely shocking to me how something so simple could be so useful.
I’m not one to organize big DIY projects or sink large amounts of money into solutions. I am looking for the best balance of simplicity and effectiveness. This approach does that. Printables are so readily available. This is a simple solution anyone can implement quickly and move on to the next order of business.
